Referrer Report
The Referrer Report provides insights into website traffic and user engagement based on referrer data. It includes information such as users by referrer, visitors by referrer, bounce rate by referrer, conversion rate by referrer, and average session duration by referrer.
Access the Referrer Report
To view the Referrer Report:
- Log in to your Analyzee account.
- Once logged in, navigate to the Analytics section of the platform.
- Access the Referrer tab within the Analytics service.
- Various metrics and charts will be displayed, providing insights into referrer trends and user behavior.
Using the Filters within the Referrer Report
Some charts contain filters that can help you view data in a more useful way.

Metrics
Top Referrer
- Definition: The top referrer that drives the most traffic to your website.
- Calculation: Counting the number of visitors from each referrer and selecting the referrer with the highest number of visitors.
Top Desktop Referrer
- Definition: The top referrer that drives the most traffic to your website from desktop devices.
- Calculation: Counting the number of visitors from each referrer on desktop devices and selecting the referrer with the highest number of visitors.
Top Mobile Referrer
Definition: The top referrer that drives the most traffic to your website from mobile devices.
Calculation: Counting the number of visitors from each referrer on mobile devices and selecting the referrer with the highest number of visitors.
Referrers by Device Type
Definition: The number of visitors by referrer on desktop and mobile devices.
Calculation: Counting the number of visitors from each referrer on desktop and mobile devices.
Average Session Duration by Referrer
Definition: The average duration of a session on your website by referrer.
Calculation: Sum of the duration of all sessions from a referrer divided by the total number of sessions from that referrer.
Average Number of Pages per Session by Referrer
Definition: The average number of pages viewed per session on your website by referrer.
Calculation: Sum of the number of pages viewed in all sessions from a referrer divided by the total number of sessions from that referrer.
Bounce Rate by Referrer
Definition: The percentage of visitors who enter the site and then leave ("bounce") rather than continuing to view other pages within the same site, by referrer.
Calculation: (Total number of single-page sessions / Total number of sessions) * 100.
Note: A high bounce rate may indicate that the landing page is not relevant to the visitor or that the visitor did not find the information they were looking for.
Note: A low bounce rate may indicate that the landing page is relevant to the visitor and that the visitor found the information they were looking for.
Note: A bounce rate of 100% indicates that all visitors left the site after viewing a single page.
Referrer Sessions
Your top referrers, compared within the same chart, based on the number of sessions they drive to your website.
