Data Anonymity

Recordings Settings

The Data Anonymity section provides options to control the level of data anonymization for the recorded sessions. You can choose to additionally anonymize user data by masking sensitive information. This ensures compliance with data protection regulations and safeguards user privacy.

Event Debounce

The scroll debounce setting determines how frequently scroll events are recorded, measured in milliseconds (ms). When you increase the debounce scroll value, the session recordings may appear laggier since fewer scroll events are captured.

Debouncing scroll events means that the recording will wait for a short duration before registering each scroll action. This can be beneficial for smoother recordings when there is a lot of scrolling activity happening during a session.

On the other hand, reducing the debounce scroll value leads to more frequent scroll event captures, providing a more granular and responsive session replay.

The mouse move debounce setting controls the frequency at which mouse move events are recorded, measured in milliseconds (ms).

By increasing the debounce mouse move value, you reduce the frequency of recorded mouse movement events. As a result, session recordings may appear less responsive or "laggier" as the system waits for short intervals before registering each mouse movement.

Conversely, decreasing the debounce mouse move value increases the frequency of recorded mouse events. This results in a more detailed and granular session replay, capturing nearly every mouse movement with higher precision.
